Sam van Kalkeren, MSN, RN, CMC, CDP, CADDCT, is Intent Clinical’s Director of Aging Services and is a registered nurse. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing and is Care Manager Certified through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. Sam is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Sam has worked with people of all ages in clinical and community settings. He has experience working with clients suffering from substance use and co-occurring disorders, complex mental health diagnoses, neurocognitive disorders, and personality disorders. Sam joined Intent Clinical from Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was the Clinical Nurse Director for the inpatient psychiatric department. In addition to his clinical work, Sam is a Leaders Council Member with The UHNW Institute and is a member of USA 500 Clubs. Sam is passionate about helping others, promoting health and well-being, and aging with grace and dignity.
