Joan Garbow MSW, LCSW, CCM is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Case Manager, and an Advanced Professional Member of The Aging Life Care Association TM (formerly National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers) since 2007.
Joan Garbow received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University. With over 25 years of professional social work experience in home care, acute care, family services and physical rehabilitation, combined with her ability to quickly assess and respond to critical situations, Joan has developed a unique and highly effective approach to Aging Life Care Management.
Joan is recognized by healthcare professionals as an extremely knowledgeable and effective advocate for her clients. She was the past president of the CT Geriatrics Society (2017-2019), and her leadership and expertise has also been recognized by her fellow Aging Life Care Professionals with her election as Co-President of the New England Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association (2022-2023).
