Dr. Zachary Faas is Intent Clinical’s Vice President of Clinical Services and is a licensed psychologist. He works closely with individuals, families, advisors, and clinical professionals to provide ongoing consultation on crisis management, family dynamics, and the development and implementation of sustainable and flexible individualized support plans. Additionally, he provides oversight and mentorship to Intent Clinical’s growing multidisciplinary team of professionals. Dr. Faas employs a collaborative, solution-focused approach to support clients in establishing and working towards their goals. He strongly believes in the power of individuals and families to effect meaningful and positive change in their lives.
Dr. Faas uses a collaborative, solution-focused approach to help clients set and achieve their goals. He strongly believes in the ability of individuals and families to create meaningful and positive change in their lives. Dr. Faas frequently presents and trains on topics at the intersection of wealth, behavioral health, and mental health. He consults with families, family office professionals, and financial and legal advisors to navigate complex situations, challenging dynamics, major transitions, and obstacles to individual and family well-being. He is an active and contributing faculty member of the Ultra High Net Worth Institute, a global non-profit think tank and learning exchange that supports advisors and families.
Dr. Faas obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College. He has practiced in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings, working with individuals and families across the lifespan. He has experience treating major and persistent mental illness, trauma, substance use disorders, and family conflict. He served as the Clinical Director of the Developmental Disability and Brain Injury Services division of a large non-profit agency in Western Massachusetts, overseeing residential and community-based programs. He was appointed a Designated Forensic Psychologist by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and served for two years as a forensic psychologist in the court clinics, conducting court-ordered evaluations for Competency to Stand Trial, Criminal Responsibility, and involuntary civil commitment for mental health and substance use disorders.
