Athea brings more than 20 years of experience in mental health to her role as the Clinical Director of Employer Services. She’s passionate about helping corporate clients enhance their workforce’s well-being. Athea works closely with wellness coaches and the behavioral health navigation team, partnering with Account Managers to deliver timely mental health and wellness solutions that foster employee resilience and engagement.
Her skills span various areas, including best practices in clinical care, crisis management, and leadership, focusing on DEIB in addressing organizations’ unique mental health needs.
Before her current position, Athea was the Executive Director at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she led programs focused on behavioral health and the criminal justice system. Athea also understands the complexities of extreme trauma, substance misuse, and severe mental illness, making her a compassionate and informed leader in the mental health space.
Athea lives in New York with her husband and two children. Family is very important to her, and she loves spending time with her friends and family.
