In this week’s Collegial Conversation with Diana Clark, Dr. Ryan Madigan joined Diana Clark to discuss training parents around emotionally volatile teens.

About the Guest: Dr. Ryan Madigan, clinical psychologist, founded the Boston Child Study Center (BCSC) in 2013 with the mission to improve the lives of youth and families by expanding access to evidence-based treatment, community education and training, and research. Since the founding of BCSC in Boston, Dr. Madigan has expanded to offices in Natick, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, California, and most recently Portland, Maine. Dr. Madigan previously taught at Boston University, Wellesley College, and Harvard Medical School where he served as an Instructor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry. He also held a position at McLean Hospital’s 3East DBT Program where he co-founded the 3East DBT Trauma and Exposure Program for adolescents struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), co-occurring suicidal behaviors, and non-suicidal self-injury. Dr. Madigan’s research interests include the development of unified transdiagnostic intervention to more effectively address issues in emotion dysregulation, trauma, and mood disorders in practice.
