In this week’s Collegial Conversations, Diana’s guest is Mickie Brown, RN. Mickie is the Clinical Manager for Education, Mindfulness, and Patient Well-Being at the Manhattan Clinical Center for the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health, a World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence. She is a highly-trained teacher of mindfulness and talks today with Diana about the practice of mindfulness and its wonderful effect on our mind, body, and soul.

BIO

Mickie Brown, RN, HN-BC, is clinical manager for Education, Mindfulness, and Patient Well-Being at the Manhattan clinical center for the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health, a World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence. Mickie has provided care to 9/11 workers and volunteers since she joined Mount Sinai in 2005. Mickie is a board-certified holistic nurse and a certified Mind-Body Medicine teacher. She studied Mindfulness at University of Massachusetts as well as Brown University and is a qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction teacher. Experiencing the power of mindfulness in her own life, informs Mickie’s teaching of mindfulness to others
