Webinar – What to Expect Postpartum: Physical and Emotional Well-Being

May 9, 2022

O’Connor Professional Group Webinar – Collegial Conversations with Diana Clark – What to Expect Postpartum: Physical and Emotional Well-Being

In this week’s Collegial Conversation with Diana Clark, Diana is joined by Emily Silver, co-founder along with Jamie O’Day, Nurture by NAPS is a unique program that provides mothers and families personalized support with a Registered Nurse. Jamie joins Diana to discuss how parents can prepare for parenthood, emotionally and physically.

Emily Silver is a Family Nurse Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Boston College and started her career as a nurse in General Medicine, and then worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse while completing her graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner from UMass Boston. After graduating, Emily put her degree to work practicing as Women’s Health NP for an OB/GYN in Brookline. All the while, Emily was running NAPS with Jamie as a side hustle since 2011, and finally decided to follow her true passion and run NAPS full time with Jamie in 2017.

Jamie O’Day is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Jamie graduated from Villanova University and chose not to follow the traditional path and practice as a nurse in General Medicine first. Instead, she followed her passion to work with expecting parents, and started her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse. After running NAPS with Emily for 6 years as a side hustle, she made the decision (with Emily) to yet again follow her true passion, and run NAPS full time in 2017.
